Irene (Mattey) Jaworski

Irene (nee Mattey) Jaworski, 92, of Garfield died Saturday, June 4, 2022.

Born in Garfield, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Jaworski retired from Popular Club Plan of Garfield and was previously employed by Vornado Realty Trust of Garfield.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s RC Church, Passaic, a member and secretary of Most Holy Name RC Church Senior Club, the Garfield AARP and the Garfield Senior Center.

Mrs. Jaworski was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Chester Jaworski, in 2002; her brother, Emil Mattey and her two sisters, Eleanor Mattey and Alice Pastor.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Jaworski of Midland Park and her granddaughter, Kimberly Jaworski.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Tuesday at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral will be 9:15 am Wednesday from the funeral home and 10 AM am at St. Mary’s RC Church, 63 Monroe St., Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, So. Hackensack.
