HELEN (nee Yawornicky) YAWORNICKI, 96, of Elmwood Park died Wednesday, August 19, 2020.
Born in Morea, Pa., Mrs. Yawornicki moved to Elmwood Park at the age of 16 and resided there since. She was employed at US Rubber Co. of Passaic before working with her late husband at their business, Pete’s Repair Service in Elmwood Park. In her spare time, Mrs. Yawornicki crocheted items for the babies at Hackensack University Medical Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; by her three sisters, Mary Ellis, Ann Lawhorne and Veronica Ruffner; and by her three brothers, Steven, Michael and John Yawornicky.
Survivors include her two daughters, Helen Ann and Christine Yawornicki, both of Elmwood Park; her brother, Theodore Yawornicky her two adopted daughters. Janet Kilroe and Anita Ambrosio and was Nana to Samantha Omerza and Thomas Kilroe.
Visitation on Thursday from 7-9 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 am followed by a Prayer and last respects at 10:30 an. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:15 am at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 259 Passaic Street, Garfield.
