Esther T. (nee Banas) Rycharski, 97, of Paterson died Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Born in Buffalo, NY, Mrs. Rycharski cam to this area in 1931 settling in Paterson where she resided ever since. She attended St. Stephen’s School and graduated from Eastside High School, where she was a majorette for two years. Mrs. Rycharski was a Draftsperson at Wright Aeronautical of Wood-ridge, NJ. After the birth of her second child, Mrs. Rycharski became a full-time homemaker.

Mrs. Rycharski was a  parishioner of St. Brendan’s RC Church, Clifton. She was a volunteer in the Gift Shop at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and she enjoyed gardening and watch “Wheel of Fortune”.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Joseph Rycharski, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage and by her brother, Alfred Banas.

She is survived by her five children, Nancy Keenan and her husband, Michael of Fairlawn, NJ, Diane Albano and her husband, Tom of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Lynda Evans and her husband, Kirk, of Allentown, Pa., Robert Rycharski and his wife, Annette of Haskell, NJ and Ronald Rycharski and his wife, Fran of Pine Brook, NJ; her sister, Alice Kolipinski of Buffalo, NY and Raymond Banas of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Melissa, Gregory, Andrew, Ryan, Elizabeth, Zachary; her great grandson, Theo and a special thanks to her caregivers, Regina and Kasia and others.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Brendan’s RC Church, cor. of Lakeview and Crooks Aves., Clifton. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
