ERIKA (nee Fersch) AKOCS, 78, of Clifton died Wednesday at home.
Born in Rittmannshausen, Germany, Mrs. Akocs came to the United States on March 9, 1950 at age 3 through Ellis Island, settling in Clifton and residing there ever since. She had been employed at Vital Signs of Totowa for many years. A parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church in Passaic, She enjoyed playing the accordion.
Mrs. Akocs was predeceased by her husband, George Akocs, in 1998 and by her parents, Frank and Rosina (nee Scklasz) Fersch.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Akocs and his wife, Kristin Kielbasa.
Visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral will be 10:00 am Monday from the funeral home followed by interment at St Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
