Elizabeth (nee Slivka) Hatsko, 93, of Paterson died Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Born in Vintondale, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Hatsko was raised in Lodi, NJ and has resided in Paterson for over 60 years. She was a parishioner of St. John’s RO Church, Passaic where she was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Church. Mrs. Hatsko also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hatsko on June 10, 2011 and by her five brothers, Michael Slivka who was killed in action at Normandy, France during World War II, Charles Slivka, Andrew Slivka, John Slivka and Harry Slivka, who was killed in Action in the Argonne Forest during World War II.
Survivors include: her daughters, Linda Lugo of Paterson, Lisa Breeden and her husband, Bill, of Pinellas Park, Florida; her son, Bruce Hatsko of Bushkill, Pa; four grandchildren, Elliot Lugo, Victoria Lugo Ramirez, Marcus Lugo and Kyle Breeden and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Sunday with a 4:00 PM Panahida at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral will be 11:00 am Monday from the funeral home and 11:30 am at St. John’s RO Church, 170 Lexington Ave., Passaic. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
