Anthony J. Glodava, 87, of Clifton, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Passaic.
Born in Clifton, Mr. Glodava was a lifelong resident. He retired as an Inventory Planner for Becton Dickinson Co. where he was employed for over 30 years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed Country and Polka music. Mr. Glodava was an active lifelong parishioner and trustee of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church in Clifton, where he was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Mr. Glodava served also as a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rosalind Imburgia, in 1991; his parents, Joseph and Johanna (nee Bigos) Glodava; his siblings, Joseph, Steven, Daniel and John Glodava, Mary T. Pituch Mancin and Sr. M. Marie Glodava.
Survivors include: his children, Anthony Glodava and his wife, Susan, of Lehi, UT, Sheila Fontana and her husband, Tom, of Haymarket, Va., Stephen Glodava and his wife, Leslie, of Elmwood Park, NJ, and Michelle Martorano and her husband, John, of Clifton, NJ, and his five grandchildren, Luke, Daniel, Michael, RosaLynn and Samuel.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral 9:30 am Tuesday from the funeral home and 10 am Mass at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, 218 Ackerman Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Memorial contributions to Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church would be appreciated by the family.
