Andrew J. Mullins, 95, of Lodi, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Born and raised in Lodi, Andy resided in Clifton for about 20 years before moving to Garfield in 1979. More recently he was living in Lodi again. He had been employed as a mechanic for 30 years at the former Shulton Corp. in Clifton until their closing in 1991. Andy also was employed part-time with Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Homes in Clifton and Bizub-Parker Funeral Home in Little Falls. He could usually be found assisting mourners during visiting hours as a doorman or serving as a pallbearer and driver on funerals.
Andy was a long-time parishioner of St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Lodi and a former member of the Pavlik-Koster VFW Post #2640 in Wallington. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II.
Andy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary (nee Insinga); his brother, Thomas Mullins; and one sister, Rose Mullen.
Survivors include: his son, Thomas Insinga, his wife, Linda and their children, Kristin Hodson, Jenifer Carvelli and the late Karen McCombs; three great-grandsons; two sisters, Bridget DeGliomini and Theresa Skawinski; niece and goddaughter, Barbara Hughes as well as other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Frances de Sales R.C. Church, 125 Union Street, Lodi.
