Rose (Steinbinder) Schweighardt

ROSE (nee Steinbinder) SCHWEIGHARDT, 90, of Bridgewater, formerly of Little Falls, died Friday Evening, March 22, 2024.

Born in Romania, Mrs. Schweighardt came to the United States in 1952 settling first in New York City before moving to Passaic and residing most of her life in Little Falls. She was a former parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls.

Mrs. Schweighardt was predeceased by her husband, Andrew in 2014 and by her grandson, James Connolly, in 2018.

She is survived by her four daughters, Rita Kouch (Gene) of Somerset, NJ, Sue Hreno (John) of Hillsborough, NJ, Debra Connolly (Danny Beranic) of Woodland Park, NJ and Michele Fitzgerald (Bob) of New Hill, New Hill, NC; her two sisters, Julia Fett of Boca Raton, FL and Margareta Melofchik of Lake Hopatcong; her eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3-7 pm Tuesday. March 26, 2024 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. Funeral 9:30 am Wednesday from the funeral home and 10:00 am at Sacred Heart RC Church, cor of Clifton and Randolph Aves., Clifton. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Memorial Contributions to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 50 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org).
